Current Status
We are hoping to have this association up and running and to be sharing information with you as soon as possible.
As part of my day to day dealings with my own Coffee Culture clients, the feedback from independent cafe owners suggests that there is need for an association. This ICOA has been set up to represent these people, to make the cafe industry better and stronger on a national level.
In addition, to the day to day guidance, we hope in the future to stand toe to toe with goverment agencies and to fight the cafe owners corner on any worthwhile topic.
Funding
While I am currently already offering the benefits of the association at a local level to my own coffee culture clients customers I am enthusiastic about making this a national resource and forum. I am actively seeking funding to get this association off the ground and to bring it to every independent cafe in the country.
Any work or time currently spent advising to cafe owners in the industry is currently billed at an hourly rate. My intention is to create a not-for-profit organisation.
Membership of the association is currently FREE, but i will be looking for members to contribute and form a pool of funds. And it will only work if members contribute. Tell me what it is you need help with and we will do what we can in return. Tell us what is working for you and share tips of the trade.
WANT TO HELP or CONTRIBUTE
We are looking to hear from all parties that wish to be involved in the association as a local representative, to fundraise, to contribute to our costs or be part of its development to contact me
If you would like to be part of this movement and have your voice heard, send me an email. Remember the more members, the stronger the voice, the better we get.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Alan
